GuardianSentral is an easy-to-use smartphone application used in tandem with your current campus security offering – Emergency Phones, Campus Police, etc. – to provide real-time GPS tracking of individuals who feel they are in dangerous or potentially dangerous situations. Illume Mobile works with your institution to develop a custom GuardianSentral app that you, in turn, offer to students, staff or employees. Once the GuardianSentral app is downloaded to the user’s smartphone, they have an extra layer of safety at their fingertips – literally.

Protection Modes

Danger Mode
- Direct access to campus police with the touch of a button
- Default screen of the app
- “Emergency” button – places an emergency call
- “Call Police” button – places a non-emergency call
Campus Security Involvement
- Receive a phone call directly from the user & track the device until the alert is deactivated
- Confirm user’s Safe Code
- Red notification on the dispatcher’s map with user’s information & current location
Follow Me Mode
- Campus police follow the user via GPS
- User activates this mode when they’re uncomfortable with their environment but not in any immediate danger
Campus Security Involvement
- Track the user’s location and becomes involved if suspicious behavior is observed
- Blue notification on the dispatcher’s map with user’s information & current location
Check In Mode
- User identifies a destination & time of arrival
- Left Button – Select placemark destination – Placemarks are unique to each campus
- Right Button – Select arrival time
Campus Security Involvement
- Notified if the user doesn’t reach their destination within the specified time period
- Green notification on the dispatcher’s map with user’s information & current location
